Moto E4 How to Turn Off Do Not Disturb

Get Rid of Do Not Disturb Notification on iOS 12/12.1

If you are annoyed by the notification that says the Do Not Disturb mode is enabled on your iOS 12 device, this guide will show you how to get rid of the notification from your device and have less annoyance with your device.

The Do Not Disturb feature in iOS 12 on your device is supposed to help you block notifications coming in from the features and apps installed on your device. However, it seems the feature itself is causing a lot of disturbance to the users of iOS devices. Since the release of iOS 12, Apple has removed the icon, which indicated the Do Not Disturb mode was enabled on your device and added a notification for it instead. The following guide shows how to get rid of the Do Not Disturb notification in iOS 12.

The notification for the mode is built right into the OS and there doesn't seem to be a way to disable it somehow. However, that doesn't mean you don't have any other ways to reduce its impact or get rid of it completely. Let's discuss the methods to remove Do Not Disturb notification from an iOS 12 enabled device.

How to Turn Off Do Not Disturb Notification in iOS 12

Apple has not added an option to disable the notification so no matter what you do, you will still get the notification saying "Do Not Disturb. Calls and notifications will be silenced until Do Not Disturb is turned off." However, there are a few things you can do.

Method 1. Use Per App Notifications Instead of Do Not Disturb

If you don't already know, you can manage notifications from most apps on your device right from the settings app. The app allows you to define whether an app should be able to send you a notification or not. If you set this option to off for an app, the app will not be able to notify you of anything on your device. It basically works like the Do Not Disturb mode but covers just a single app.

However, you can apply the rule to all of the apps on your device and no apps will ever be able to send you a notification. It will create an atmosphere as if the Do Not Disturb mode is enabled and it is preventing apps from sending you any notifications.

Method 2. Turn Off Do Not Disturb Mode

If you want to get rid of the notification at any cost, then the only option you have is to disable the Do Not Disturb mode on your device and the notification will no longer appear on your device. It is as simple as that.

Turning off the mode will make a way for all the notifications to be sent to you, however, as shown in the first method, you can have control over those notifications and you can set how you want for them to arrive on your device.

Method 3. Send Apple a Feedback About It

If enough people say they don't like the inability to turn off the Do Not Disturb mode notification in iOS 12 to Apple, the company might listen to them and will add the option to disable the feature in future versions of iOS.

To give Apple a feedback about this feature, you can head over to the Apple Feedback website and let them know your thoughts about the whole notification thing. They may listen to you and everybody else who are facing the same issue and may come up with a solution for it. Well, that's the only thing you can do to let Apple know about it.

Method 4. Do Not Update to iOS 12 If Possible

In case you have not updated your device to iOS 12 yet, do not do it if you are not happy with the new annoyance created by the iOS 12 Do Not Disturb mode notification and until a method is available to resolve it. Being on an older version of iOS should be fine for you as at least you won't have notifications coming in from the feature that is supposed to prevent unnecessary notifications.

The Bottom Line

We hope the above guide teaches you how to get rid of the Do Not Disturb notification in iOS 12 using some unique ways so you are no longer bothered by a notification saying your notifications are disabled.
